    Amazon Verified Purchase

I just about bought the Diamondback Podium 1, but chose this Hasa instead. I'm sure the Diamondback is a great bike, but I am very pleased with my purchase so far. I admit that I was pretty nervous about buying an off brand bike that had no customer reviews, but I am not disappointed with my choice. So here goes...Positives:The bike arrived in a box (of course) with no damage, and no defective or missing parts. Like when your wife has a baby, the first thing you look for is all the fingers and toes. After assembly and adjustments the bike works like it should. The frame appears to be well made. The only visible weld is around the bottom bracket, and this weld looks neat and clean. The components are as described on Amazon. Note: there are a few minor inconsistencies between the Hasa component list and Amazons. Amazon listing is correct. In any case all the components are great for this level of bike. The non-big name brand components (stem, seat post, hubs, pedals, brakes, etc.) are much better quality than I expected. The ProMax brakes are very precision, quiet, and stop beautifully. Even the pedals (Wellgo) aren't too bad. Black alloy construction with ball bearings and no clicks as of yet. I expected test ride throw-aways. I haven't even gotten a flat tire yet on the stock tires and some of the roads that I ride on have a lot of fine broken glass. The weight of this bike on my scales is right at 20 pounds. They list it at 20 1/2 pounds. For the price of this bike I am thrilled with its weight. It seems that everything about this bike is light. The bike looks good. The paint, decals, and color scheme are appealing.Negatives:The seat, although it seems to be well made, is not comfortable enough for me. I must admit, I am very picky when it comes to seats anyway, and racing style seats are too hard for me. My longest ride on this seat was 26 miles and I could feel it.I replaced the stock stem with a 40 degree stem to raise my handlebars up about 2 inches. I would have done this on most bikes I looked at, including the Diamondback. I noticed, however, that the stock stem is very light for a 110mm.Conclusion:All-in-all I am very pleased and impressed with this bike. I haven't ridden it enough yet to see if any problems will develop, but so far it seems like a very solid light weight bike.I will update if things change, and after I have put some serious miles on it.Bottom line - I highly recommend this bike to anyone in the market for a quality, light weight, and fairly low price road bike.
